Our Story
Chrysalis Ministries is a remarkable organization that provides invaluable services to incarcerated individuals, formerly incarcerated individuals and their families, as well as at-risk youth. Through our hands-on case management and counseling services, Chrysalis Ministries helps individuals and families overcome the consequences of incarceration and build a better future.
Chrysalis Ministries understands that the consequences of incarceration can be far-reaching and long-lasting. We provide a range of services to help individuals and families cope with the challenges of re-entry into society. These services include individual and family counseling, workforce development including job readiness training, financial literacy classes, life-skills classes and assistance with housing and transportation. We also provide mentoring and support to at-risk youth, helping them to make positive life choices and avoid the pitfalls of incarceration.

We provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can learn the skills they need to succeed in life. Antonio Tarantino
CEO and Social Impact Leader
Antonio (Nino) Tarantino is a CEO known for his dynamic leadership, boasting a diverse career that spans the realms of marketing, publishing, and social impact. Driven by an unwavering passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities, Nino has dedicated over seven years to equipping and empowering individuals and their families to overcome the consequences of incarceration.
Hailing from the state of Wisconsin, Nino’s journey towards helping others began at an early age, shaping his core values. His career trajectory led him to assume pivotal roles, starting as a Director of Marketing for juvenile and adult continuity programs. Over the years, he amassed a wealth of experience, serving as COO and CEO in various capacities within the realms of publishing, education, marketing, operations and strategic services.
Nino’s commitment extends to assisting families affected by incarceration in the San Antonio and Bexar County area, exemplifying his deep dedication to providing essential tools and resources for their success. He firmly believes that every individual deserves a second chance, and his relentless pursuit of resources underscores this commitment.
With a sharp focus on incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals and their families, and opportunity youth, Nino continues to drive positive change in the arena of Second Chance opportunities, striving to reduce the rate of recidivism. His vision includes expanding outreach to more employers and enhancing youth programs, all while maintaining a steadfast dedication to serving as a vital hub for resources to support this profoundly underserved population.
Nino has been in San Antonio since 2001, and his journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication to creating a brighter future for those affected by incarceration, one opportunity at a time.
